Depression
Everybody faces Depression at least once in their lives,.. But it doesn't have to be an illness,.. It is difficult but you can overcome it achieve an oversimplified and hazy world of possibilities, calm and new choices.
Depression is natural and it is nature's way of telling us to ponder and overcome our weaknesses..,
Think about it, the nature has lot of sceneries which are melancholy and seemingly quiet plus they can also look gloomy.
But just as the sceneries are beautiful in the first place and may look gloomy or dull but just breathe it in and walk right into it and they seem to be asking us to indulge in a private moment with nature; in its beautiful and splendorous arrangement of sights and places that make us ponder and think about things.
When a person refuses to go outside with family for dinner or roaming about when infact it is hard for that person to come about and act happily and we all quickly assume that it is always due to either some kind of lack of interest to spend time with us and that that person likes to be alone.
First there is nothing wrong in being alone. A human may be a social creature but i would say he is mostly alone with himself and sometimes needs to be social in order to fulfill his wants and desires.
Let go of wants and desires and you want to be in solitude pondering over things.
So then it is not the lack of interest to be together that makes a person sit up at home or be with his thoughts most of the times. Nor is it some form of illness but a mental condition which needs to be formed into happiness, a path to happiness indeed.
Remember that each one of us is having unique mindset, abilities and personalities despite us being 7 billion of in all on this planet. We may look alike but we are all having unique faces and requirements, even twins are not exactly same.
So it may be said that a person may be more inclined to ponder over his thoughts, wants things or likes things to be a certain way. Each one of us also encounters different kinds of experiences in this world and reacts to them differently. Some without reason seem more recused and inert but that is just one way of looking at things.
A person who doesn't go out much and people don't understand what's actually going on with him or her. They may look normal from outside but as they say each one of us has our own thoughts which we think about, for example, one may not be ok with how things are going on with himself or herself. He or she may have different needs; to be alone, experience quiet and some chill time but is not able to because of the fast pace of the world. They may like to be organized hence first organize thoughts and then do other activities, but then failure to organize ones thoughts, after all we all are learning ourselves for most part of our lives.
So in essence a person may look into things differently and wants to derive meaning out of it anyway, but what is important is to realize that meaning is not what needs to be arrived at, it is the observing of things that is required without judgement, expectations or desires. When this is done the soul of self is acquainted with the nature of things and sees things more clearly, and hence can arrive at the full picture and develop his or her personality to the way they wanted to BE...
Hence, the person now sees that the things seeming gloomy and melancholy at first have a sense of depth and solitude that they can now not only clearly see but enjoy as well. Once this is done life becomes beautiful and the person is ready to interact and be of overt nature enjoying things outside as well as he or she is satisfied at the outside looking at it from the inside. That's all that is required.
That is nature's true plan to give way to the nature of the soul to BE UNIQUE and not follow the standards of the society as some pre written guidelines. Once we like who we are in this world and make our place rightfully seen to ourselves the scene of the nature is understood and we see things in a spectacularly beautiful and breathtaking way.
All that is then required is someone to listen and give support, especially family. It is time to end the stigma around depression and mental illnesses(Conditions) and see a person as a person and a human being as a human being no less....
